Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a Wedding Film?

That’s an easy one! What is the biggest regret of most Bride and Grooms after their wedding? That’s right, not having a professioanlly made Wedding Video! Some couples get family & friends to do it (and are usually disappointed with the results), some don’t bother at all (and will always wish they had).

Your day goes by so quickly, and with it so many details, sounds, emotions and reactions may be lost forever, which is why we think the only proper way to to capture and re-live all those precious moments is to have a professionally made Wedding Film.

How "noticeable" will the camera operator be on the day?!

All wedding videographers will tell you that you won’t even notice they are there, and that is certainly what our team of skilled and experience camera operators aim for too. However just like your photographer, in order to take some of the great shots that make our Signature Wedding Films unique our camera operator may at times ask you to take a bit of direction when you are less in the spotlight, for example during the Bridal preparations or the photshoot. How much or how little you wish that to be is in entirely up to you – after all it’s your day and we want you to be as comfortable as possible, not least because that’s what provides the best shots!

How will you work with the photographer?

Your photographer will, just like ourselves, want to capture all those memorable moments in the best way possible. That’s why our camera operators make sure that work with and communicate with him or her both before and during the day in order to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

What equipment do you use?

For filming we use high quality Sony and Canon DSLR’s. DSLR cameras are perfect for weddings because not only do they produce great looking film, they are also small and compact and therefore as inconspicuous as possible. We use lavalier microphones hooked up to digital recorders to get clear but unobtrusive sound quality.

Do you use lights?

No. The last thing we want to do is turn your wedding into a film set, which is why we choose cameras which are great in low-lighting situations

When can I expect my Wedding Film?

Processing and editing a film takes many hours of skilled work, but we know you want to see the final product as soon as possible. Our aim will always be to have the first draft of your highlights film ready for your approval in around 3 weeks. In some cases it will be less than this, but during the busy summer season it could be longer

Will my wedding film have a music license?

Music licences for wedding videos are a legal requirement. All our Films will have the necessary music licences included as part of the package

Are you insured?

Yes our camera men & women have comprehensive Public Liability insurance and Professional Indemnity insurance. For a lot of venues this is pre-requisite to even being allowed to film there.

Are you CRB checked?

Yes, we have the Enhanced DBS check, which includes the CRB check and ISA check- relevant documents can be provided on request

Will you expect food at the wedding?

Whilst food certainly isn’t expected to be provided, it would definitely be appreciated if something was made available! When working constantly for 8, 10 and more hours, a warm meal will certainly help keep us going!

Do you cover Weddings throughout the UK?

Our main areas are Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Northamptonshire, Surrey, Hampshire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire, however we also cover weddings further afield so please contact us for details (additional travel costs may apply)
